For
those of you who don't know me, let me briefly introduce myself. I
grew up on a small family farm in beautiful southern Alberta, Canada,
close to the Rocky Mountains. Because of this, I feel a connection
with nature and a love and appreciation for nature art and
photography. My art is inspired by the beauty around me. I believe
that everyone should have the opportunity to be surrounded by the
beauty and wonder of nature whether or not they are physically able
to fully engage in outdoor activities or be in such a beautiful
place.
My
mother spent years in a facility with dementia. What brought her
comfort and joy, when we could not always be there, were her photos
of her family and gardens. I was her primary caregiver for many
years. Now that she is gone, I delight in capturing and sharing the
beauty, tranquillity, joy, and quirkiness of the world around me.
Enjoying not only the overall design of nature but also the smallest
of details. Through my art, I love to help others reconnect with
nature too.
I
enjoy continuously learning both the aesthetic and technical nature
of this craft. I also love sharing my art, gardening, hiking,
ballroom dancing, and travelling. Like my mother, I really appreciate
flowers. They bring me joy.
